Want to learn more about the key data indicators that drive energy challenges in your community? The Energy Equity Explorer can uncover the answers.

The Energy Equity Explorer, developed by TEPRI in collaboration with the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance (SEEA), is an interactive mapping tool designed to highlight where energy burdens and social vulnerabilities overlap across the Southeast and Texas. By combining data from the U.S. Census, the CDC’s Social Vulnerability Index, and the U.S. Department of Energy’s LEAD tool, it helps communities, advocates, and policymakers identify areas most in need of energy efficiency investments. The tool provides neighborhood-level insights on energy costs, housing, and demographics to support equitable access to funding and resources for a more affordable and resilient energy future.
